Introducing 'Snapshot 1'... our first album!

Over the course of 10 months our Quarry Music team has worked hard to identify new composers exploring all genres and styles. Supported by skills development including A&R techniques and constructive feedback, our team were able to help shape the musical submissions, and work with our partner MediaTracks to ensure we received not only original and appropriate materials, but music that would suit the needs of production music customers.

In such a short time we have been able to inspire, motivate, educate and showcase the depth of talent at Leeds Conservatoire. Our Snapshot 1 album celebrates this milestone, and lays the foundation for further, traditional production music album releases.

The aims of the “Snapshot” album are:

  1. To give ten new composers an opportunity to have their work published as part of the Quarry Music catalogue within the MediaTracks library, and used commercially in broadcast media.
  2. To raise awareness for Leeds Conservatoire students and alumni of the opportunities in library and production music.
  3. For Quarry Music to unearth new music and nurture relationships with the composers. From each “Snapshot” album we aim to further develop some of the featured composers with a view to delivering full albums of their own.

“Snapshot” is Quarry Music’s annual multiple composer album that showcases our favourite musical discoveries from Leeds Conservatoire students and alumni... and "Snapshot 1" marks our first release as Quarry Music.
